Dry needling treatments can be billed to insurance companies as out-of-network services. We will provide you the paperwork that includes the CPT and diagnosis code for you to submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement.

How many treatments can I expect?

Research says that dry needling is best dosed once ever 72 hours for a total of 6-10 treatments. Clinically, this normally translates to 2 treatments a week for 3 weeks.

Depending on a variety of factors, including the chronicity of the injury or pain, cause of the injury or pain, and your age, your tailored treatment plan may look different.

What are the adverse effects of dry needling?

Common adverse events can include bleeding, bruising, pain during the treatment and pain after the treatment. Uncommon adverse events can include an aggravation of symptoms, drowsiness, headache and nausurea. Although rare, documented adverse effects of fatigue, emotional distruss, itching, numbness and shaking have also occured.
